EXPERIENCE

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to intern and assist the employees at the Cambria County Courthouse in Ebensburg, Pennsylvania.  This experience was extremely beneficial to me and my future career as a lawyer.  I was taught how to file papers, worked alongside multiple different professional employees, and was given the privilege of opening up court next to the judge.  I also met with a variety of clients, and I helped assist them with the details of their upcoming trials.  Working in a courthouse was exactly how I had pictured it would be and more.  I feel that this experience has helped me in so many ways, and I am so thankful to have been given the opportunity to work alongside such amazing, professional people.

Another amazing opportunity I had was to work as an assistant at Gleason, Barbin, and Markowitz law firm in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.  While assisting at this business, I had a similar, yet different experience than I did at the court house.  I had similar duties, including filing papers and working with clients to advise them on the responsibilities of their upcoming trials.  I was lucky enough to be able to go into court with some of the lawyers who work at the firm, which was such an awesome experience.  It gave me a sneak peak of what my future will look like!  It also made me so much more excited for the future as I begin applying to law schools.  Being lucky enough to have these opportunities was so beneficial in helping me become one step closer to my future goals!
